Keyur S. Sahasrabudhe is a distinguished Associate Professor in the Communication Design Department (Photography) at Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune. His diverse educational background, which includes a Master’s Diploma in higher education andragogy, an M.A. in Indology and Economics, and multiple diplomas in Photography, Marketing, and Computer Programming, all after graduation for BA management, brings a rich blend of academic and practical knowledge to his teaching.
With over two decades of industry experience, he has made significant contributions as a Creative Director at Clicks n Media, a company he co-founded, specialising in photography, printing, and publishing media. His industry journey also includes roles such as General Manager Operations at Cards Corporation and various marketing and sales positions at Usha International, Business India Group and Litaka Pharmaceuticals. His achievements in the industry are genuinely inspiring.
In the academic realm, he has been instrumental in guiding and mentoring students across multiple disciplines at Symbiosis Institute of Design. His courses span Photography, Design Fundamentals, Product Photography, Fashion Photography, and Digital Darkroom Techniques. He is also actively involved in student project documentation, event documentation, and the creation of stock photography for college, along with Craft design studies. His research profile is marked by his involvement in projects like the HCI 2012 Conference Branding and Identity and photo documentation efforts at SID.
His research interests include integrating photography in design education, user experience in visual communication, and innovative teaching methodologies in higher education.
