Established in August 2006, the SID Library is a dynamic space designed to inspire learning, research, and creative exploration. It is thoughtfully divided into two key areas: the Reading Hall - a quiet sanctuary for focused study, and the Thinking Room - a space that fosters discussion and ideation. The library boasts a diverse collection of over 13,000 books, 1,243 educational audiovisual materials, and an extensive archive of national and international magazines, journals, and trend forecast publications such as Promostyl and Show Details. It also houses a comprehensive repository of students’ degree project reports, providing valuable insights into emerging design trends. To keep pace with evolving industry needs, the library subscribes to premium e-resources, including the globally renowned WGSN database, offering cutting-edge insights into fashion, lifestyle, and interior design. A color-coded cataloging system ensures seamless navigation, while the library's automation software, KOHA, streamlines access to resources. Since 2019, an automated entry system has further enhanced efficiency, providing a hassle-free experience for users.
The SID Library is more than just a collection of books—it is a vibrant knowledge hub where creativity meets research, empowering students and faculty to push the boundaries of design innovation.
