Omkar is a dedicated product designer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule University and a Master's in Product and Industrial Design from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. He also pursued a PhD in the area of indigenous handcrafted wooden toys. Omkar formerly worked as an assistant professor at Nirma University in Ahmedabad and as the department head at Vishwakarma University in Pune. While working at Vishwakarma University, he collaborated on live industrial projects. Omkar also worked with Fermrdicius Labs Pvt Ltd in Bangalore, an IISc alum firm, where Omkar designed and developed a customer-facing automated store. He also worked for StoryDesign in Pune, where he designed furniture for showrooms.
His interests include product design, Indian crafts, and design methodology. His research area focuses on Indian wooden toys and products. He also enjoys traveling. Omkar's broad experiences and interests make him an adaptable and innovative designer.
