Dr. Nitin Hadap brings over 23 years of experience in fashion design and art education. His distinguished career is marked by numerous accolades, including the Emerging Scholar award by Design Principles and Practices in Lisbon, Portugal, and grants and fellowships from prestigious organizations such as the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, the Asiatic Society, and the National Film Archive of India (NFAI).
He is also a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Nehru Award by the Victoria and Albert Museum, recognizing his contributions to visual culture, craft documentation, fashion, and culture-related research projects.
Nitin has completed his PhD on composite motifs in Indian art, from the Deccan College PG, research institute Pune and got the faculty training from NIFT, Mumbai.
As a dedicated researcher, designer, and artist, Dr. Hadap has held five solo exhibitions and participated in numerous groups shows both in India and internationally. He has delivered lectures and organized creative programs on various national and international platforms, focusing on Indian costumes, the history of Indian art, and contemporary Indian design and art practices. Dr. Hadap's extensive experience and achievements make him an invaluable asset to the institute, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of designers.
