Dr. Kedar Dicholkar is an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis Institute of Design, with a PhD in Design specializing in UX research from IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on UX design interventions in Traditional music practices, sensory processing in digital interfaces, and cultural preservation through design. He teaches courses on UX design, design thinking, and user research, integrating his interdisciplinary expertise in new Media.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech, Goa College of Engineering) and a Master’s in Design from IIT Kanpur, Dr. Dicholkar combines technical proficiency with human-centered design principles. His research contributions include a patent granted by the Government of India and presentations at prestigious international conferences, including ICORD 2025 (IIT Hyderabad), ACED 2023, IJMS-ARC, and Media Meet 2023.

Dr. Dicholkar has also conducted various multimedia and design education workshops, such as the Design Education Fest organized by the Association of Designers of India (ADI). Beyond academia, he is an accomplished Indian Classical musician with 15 years of training under Shri.Sharad Mathkar, having performed at renowned music festivals across India.
