Dr. Meeta Siddhu has accrued over two decades of experience in education, training and curriculum development. She holds a PhD in Sustenance of Traditional Embroidery through documentation and artisan training.. Dr. Meeta Siddhu brings a wealth of knowledge and fresh insights into her academic pursuits. Driven by a passion for design and handicrafts, she has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, contributing significantly to the discourses in her field. Her research interests span design fundamentals, traditional handicrafts and handlooms, surface ornamentation, sustainability and artisan training. She has also been actively involved in curriculum development for vocational division of NCERT (a constituent of Ministry of Human Resources) and has written book chapters for textbooks of vocational courses under the Apparel and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council. She has also published research papers and book chapters in reputed journals and books.

Currently she teaches design fundamentals, craft design studies, craft documentation presentation, design process and thinking, fabric studies, textiles and surface craft at Symbiosis Institute of Design.
