As an Assistant Professor in the User Experience department at the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Shubhamkar brings a unique blend of creativity, spirituality, and cognitive science to the classroom. His journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA), followed by a post-graduation in Advertising, Design & Digital Communications from Ecole Intuit Lab. However, his path took an unexpected turn when he became a monk at the International Society of Krishna Consciousness, immersing himself in the profound teachings of spirituality and earning a Bhakti Shastri diploma. This extraordinary combination of design education and spiritual exploration has profoundly shaped Shumhamkar’s understanding of user experience, behavior, and psychology. The fusion of these disciplines allows him to approach cognitive design with a fresh perspective, making his work and teachings both innovative and empathetic. At SID, he is dedicated to inspiring students to delve into the intersections of design, psychology, and spirituality. His goal is to help students cultivate a holistic understanding of the human experience, enabling them to create meaningful and impactful designs.
