There are two types of internship:

  • One after completing the 1st year of the M.Des programme,
  • The second will be in the last semester i.e 4th semester for the Degree Project.

Yes. At SID, we have an active Placement Cell which shares the company details with the students, coordinates the placement drive, and organizes/schedules interviews/meetings for the interviews.

(For B.Des) The average package is between Rs. 7 to 8 LPA while the highest package is Rs. 18 LPA.  As our current M.Des batch is only in their 2nd semester, no placement happened yet. However, internship opportunities shall be shared with them as and when received.

Admission Process related Questions:

The Entrance exam for M.Des is conducted on the 1st Sunday of May. The exam schedule is updated on the SID website www.sid.edu.in.

Admission to M.Des programme of SID will be according to the following process:
1.Register online for the admission process.
2.Appear for online Entrance Exam
3.Upload / share your digital portfolio.
4.Appear for the online Studio Test / Situation Test.
5.Shortlisting for Personal Interaction based on the entrance exam, portfolio and studio test score.
6.Appear for the online Personal Interaction (PI)
Final selection would be based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in Entrance Exam, Portfolio Review, Studio Test and Personal Interaction. 

Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 4-year duration in any specialization, after 12th standard or equivalent to the 12th standard from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
OR
Full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/ Architecture, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard, from any university or institute recognised by law in India.
With a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).

As per the eligibility criteria, a person holding 3 years Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for the M.Des programme. Currently we are not considering the work experience for admission.

The Studio Test and Portfolio Review round will be conducted in online mode. Applicant is required to share a digital portfolio for review.
