VPL-I Takve plant received a prestigious award from National Safety council in two categories - Lowest Average Accident Frequency Rate & Longest Accident-Free Period.
Varroc Polymer Ltd. Plant-1, established in 1997 for work centered around Plastic Injection Molding, Air filter Box Assembly, Plastic painting parts and assembly having 1000 man-per-day activity.
Recently, to validate the good processes being followed, the plant was nominated for National Safety Awards for their Maharashtra chapter and Varroc Polymer Ltd Plant-1, was declared winner in the category of Lowest Average Accident Frequency Rate & Longest Accident-Free Period from among 200 industries that participated.
Plant status till end of last Financial year is the Accident-free period :- 2855 day and 17453049 Man-Hours without any accident
For controlling the unsafe conditions and initiate required actions at the plant, activities like barricading, interlocking, transport safety and horizontal deployment was followed, based on learnings from similar incidents that occurred based on case studies of surrounding industries were helpful.
VEL VI Takwe plant won prestigious award from ‘MAHARASHTRA SAFETY COUNCIL’ for year
2022. The award is underwritten by National Safety Council, Maharashtra Chapter and the criteria for this award was the safe conditions over a period of three years, therefore, the annual safety performance of the plant was appreciated and awarded accordingly.
The award is presented to the industries having consistent ‘Zero Accident Frequency Rate’ for a consecutive period of three years. The ‘Accident Frequency Rate’ refers to the ratio of accidents and the hours worked and is calculated per million hours worked. ‘Accident’ referred to here, is the lost time injury (LTI) that results in a fatality, permanent disability or time lost from work.
VEL VI Takwe is celebrating injury free days for more than 5 years, since the plant was established and hence deserved the award.
