Technological Pillars of Sustainability
We are always innovating to create auto components that are not only best in class but also pushing the boundaries of mobility as we know it. While doing so, we always regard the environment as a key stakeholder in all our product development. All our products are designed keeping in mind 3 key pillars.
1. Lightweighting: Embracing material optimization by transforming metal parts to plastic and employing advanced molding techniques to reduce product weight, thus curbing fuel consumption and emissions.
2. Electrification: Developing versatile solutions enhancing the range and functionality of electric vehicles while significantly reducing fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
3. Energy Efficiency: Our green products offer over 30% efficiency, compact designs for high power density, and innovative technologies reducing emissions associated with traditional manufacturing processes.
Commitment to Sustainable Practices
A primary focus of our sustainability efforts lies in the constant improvement and standardisation of our processed keeping in mind our environmental impact.
We have made substantial strides in renewable energy generation, generating 2.4 million units last year, equivalent to avoiding 1,900 tonnes of CO2 emissions. By pioneering initiatives to achieve zero-defect products and fostering circularity in manufacturing processes, we have achieved over 90% wastewater recycling and ensuring efficient waste management practices. We have also implemented energy conservation projects, achieving ISO 14001 Environment Management Certification for all plants, and significantly reducing CO2 emissions through renewable energy efforts.
Reviving the Kham River
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond our organisation and it is highlighted by the revival of the Kham River. Through strategic measures encompassing solid waste management, cleaning, greening, and the development of ecological and recreational riverfront spaces, we have achieved remarkable milestones.
Our initiatives have resulted in a significant increase in households utilizing municipal waste collection services, alongside the installation of segregation setups and extensive citizen engagement events. The cleaning and restoration efforts have seen the cleaning of 22 kilometres of Nalas and 11 kilometres of the Kham River, reclaiming substantial areas and planting diverse native flora in the riparian zones.
