Video Film Design

Video Film Design is another aspect of the broader discipline of Communication Design. Narration & communication of messages through Films, Videos, Documentaries forms an integral part of Video Film Design. With continuous evolution in the use of different types of media and adapting to changing technologies, Video Film Design has gained popularity in the Indian design industry over the years.

Students are trained to use filming equipment, design sets, identify locations, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes.

Students are trained in art of storytelling through visual media, film language and acting for moving images.

Sound of the Waves is a showcase of a families relationship and their lack of communication in an intimate setting. It focuses mainly on the wifes mothers desires and her marriage which is seemingly held together by their little son alone. The idea of the film stemmed from the concept My Tongue is Illiterate, which refers to all the things left unsaid. You may know a language, yet you hesitate or choose not to communicate with the other person. The film aims to hopefully make the audience realise the importance of simple communication and validation.

Originally performed by Wallows, the song “Are You Bored Yet?’, is about a failing relationship between a guy and a girl, wherein one has fallen out of love with the other and is now bored of the so called relationship they have and wishes to end it. The music video is an exact representation of the above scenario, set with the heavy stylization of the 80s. Visual treatment was freely experimented with and creative lighting was one of the key highlights of this particular project.

This project aimed to showcase Ludic's limited- edition CSK-inspired footwear collection, highlighting the aesthetic appeal, usability, and stylistic versatility of the shoes through performance-oriented visuals.
