Video Film Design
The Video Film Design program at SID focuses on creating stories and communicating ideas through films, videos, and documentaries. It encompasses the entire process, from film direction to post-production. The Video Film Design program aims to develop versatile directors skilled in creating films for diverse educational, social, entertainment, cultural and marketing purposes. As media and technology continue to evolve, Video Film Design has gained significant traction in the Indian design industry.
Students are trained in the use of filming equipment, set design, location scouting, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles, and costumes. Additionally, they learn the art of storytelling through visual media, film language, and acting for moving images.
Graduates have won awards for their films and have gone on to work as independent filmmakers or in production houses and advertising companies.
