Each Indian village differs from the other in their geographies, histories and ecologies mind-sets, traditions and social practices. Since those keep varying, we at Bharat Forge analysed the requirements in each village individually, and structured our village development Programmes to meet them exclusively.

Our Village Development Initiatives
Bharat Forge's projects for village development are categorised under 5 major indicators
Water Availability.
An unimaginable dream, brought alive.

Water for both drinking and agriculture was taken to be a prime indicator for village development in addition to the development works for internal roads, livelihood creation, health and education.

As part of our CSR activities, we decided to participate in the Government's Jalyukta Shivir Abhiyan in villages of Maharashtra, under the guidance and mentorship of our Chairman Mr. Babasaheb N. Kalyani. Water harvesting projects were launched in the adopted villages as a part of this initiative.

  • Impacted 1,49,000+ Villagers
  • Increased water availability and positive changes in cropping patterns and crop diversity
  • Enhanced agriculture, livestock productivity and availability of processing units
  • Helped farmers increase their incomes

The standard of living of the villagers was elevated multi-fold through water abundance, better roads, richer farms and a better livelihood.

Irrigating inclusive growth

Our focus on inclusive growth has led us to work extensively for enhancing the availability of agricultural water in villages and making safe drinking water accessible. This has led to a constant rise in income through farming, thus improving the living standards of the people.
