The Companies Act came into being in 2013, making it mandatory for the corporates to conduct CSR activities. We at Bharat Forge however, had been responsible towards our social contributions from long before, starting as early as 1978 when we had set up two community centers for the socio-economic development of women.
With time, we kept reshaping our initiatives and realigned ourselves to better suit the government's vision for social development. At Bharat Forge, this belief of giving back has driven us to accomplish more every year, through our CSR efforts under the governance of our CSR committee leaders.
Know our CSR CommitteeWe are aligned with the state and national agenda in CSR and the sustainable development goals of the UNO. Our CSR projects have been realigned according to the CSR Act of 2014.
As a corporate, this belief to serve the community continues to grow stronger with every goal we achieve - defining responsibility for us
Great solutions come from a deep understanding of problems. Thus all our initiatives start by having conversations with villagers and local leaders. We live with them, make dialogue and find the root cause of their problems.
We make sure that our beneficiaries are ready to accept and utilize the projects after the handover. This ensures efficiency, self-sustainability and adequate maintenance
When people benefit from our initiatives they talk about it. This gives us more opportunities to undertake projects in different villages for the benefit of more people.
Apart from the initiatives we also focus on making the local leaders stronger. We train them in leadership skills, communication and problem solving. As a result our villages become more independent, informed and self-reliant.
