Animation Film Design
The Animation Film Design program at SID aims to develop and guide students in the art of visual storytelling using moving images. With storytelling as the core focus of the course, students are encouraged to draw inspiration from the stories, art, and music surrounding them. The course focuses on strong drawing and animation skills while teaching the latest digital techniques to help students create original short films.
This program equips students with the ability to create short films, animated graphics, motion graphics, special effects and production art. Students are introduced to the pre-production and post-production stages involved in filmmaking. Alongside 2D and 3D animation, students gain hands-on experience in stop-motion animation. Additionally, modules such as Cinema Appreciation and Film Language provide theoretical knowledge that students apply in their projects and films.
Students interact with industry professionals and participate in study tours to understand cultural diversity, fostering awareness of societal issues and how designers can contribute to solving real-world challenges. Graduates of the Animation Film Design discipline have successfully pursued careers in corporate firms, advertising agencies, production houses, animation studios, and digital gaming companies.
