The School of Design is dedicated to nurturing creative minds and fostering innovation through its comprehensive Bachelor of Design (B. Des) program. Our curriculum blends theory with practice, ensuring students develop strong conceptual foundations while engaging in real-world design challenges.
During the first two years, students build a solid grounding in design principles, exploring core subjects such as color theory, typography, digital tools, and the history of design. Hands-on projects, ethnographic studies, and field visits allow them to gain practical exposure and develop a versatile skill set that prepares them for advanced learning.
From the third year onward, students specialize by choosing one of three focused tracks:
- UX Design – This track emphasizes user-centered design, interaction design, and usability testing. Students conduct user research, create wireframes, build prototypes, and perform testing to design intuitive, engaging user experiences.
- Graphic Design – Focused on visual communication, branding, and multimedia design, this track equips students to work across diverse mediums, from traditional print to digital platforms. Students also participate in exhibitions, showcasing their creativity and design thinking.
- Animation and VFX – This track is designed for students passionate about storytelling through motion, visual effects, and digital media. The curriculum covers 2D and 3D animation, compositing, motion graphics, and visual effects production pipelines. Students work on live projects, short films, and collaborative assignments that blend creativity with technology, preparing them for careers in animation studios, film, gaming, and digital entertainment industries.
Across all tracks, students benefit from a dynamic learning ecosystem that includes online resources, educational trips, industry workshops, and interdisciplinary collaborations. This holistic approach ensures that graduates of the School of Design are well-rounded, industry-ready professionals capable of making a meaningful impact in their chosen creative fields.
